We have modern and easy to use equipment to hire including manual wheelchairs, electric wheelchairs and electric scooters. As well as this we also have a range of disability aids and adaptations to purchase including walking sticks and RADAR keys.

Shopmobility also offers a range of additional support services including:

  • Travel companion (subject to availability)
  • Drop off/ pick up service from local hotels (subject to staff availability)
  • Liverpool Cruise Terminal support
  • Opportunity to hire equipment for holidays/day excursions
  • Information about local amenities, shops, disability issues and useful contacts

Shopmobility is not restricted to people who are registered disabled meaning any individual who has a mobility restriction due to age, disability or injury can use the service.  Our friendly team will provide training and support around operating the scooters and wheelchairs.

Liverpool Shopmobility is located in two key locations in the heart of Liverpool City Centre:

St John’s Shopping Centre, Tel: 0151 709 5245
We are situated on the ground floor, next to Poundland overlooking the bus stops. Disabled bays are available in St John’s car park.

We are situated on Level 3 within the Liverpool ONE car park on Strand Street. Disabled bays are available. For non car users, access can be gained from the car park entrance opposite the Hilton Hotel, next to the steps

33 tenants from Plus Dane and First Ark’s sheltered schemes enjoyed trying out activities at Liverpool Watersports Centre in two taster afternoons. Everyone enjoyed speeding down to Albert Dock in the Sir Bert Massie Wheelyboat and trying out the rafted canoes. They then made the most of the café with its fantastic views of the waterfront and people enjoying different activities on the water.

As part of our annual carers week, today we hosted a free event to provide support and information to the unpaid carers of Liverpool. Held in Stanley Park’s Isla Gladstone conservatory, the event was a day full of fun and informative events focusing on the city’s carers.

Unpaid carers from Liverpool say that the loneliness prevention device, “Push to Talk”, has helped them overcome social isolation and brought them closer to others.
