Support is available if you become homeless or think you may be about to become homeless.  People become homeless for a variety of reasons, the key thing is to get help as soon as you can.   Even if you are ‘sofa-surfing’ or staying between friends, get help straight away.

What to do?

  1. Make contact with the homeless team in your area and attend the appointments with them.
  2. Keep with you: I.D. National Insurance Number, Bank details etc.
  3. Make your college/training/employment a priority and keep your appointments with the Benefits agency
  4. Tell people at your college/work/Benefits agency what is going on, as they may be able to be more flexible More advice on the Shelter website, via Shelter’s free helpline – 0808 8004444 - or get advice at your local Citizens Advice Bureau.

We are currently looking for new Householders for our Supported Lodgings Services which support homeless young people.

Families supported by our family hostel Plas Bellin were all treated to a fantastic day out to Chester Zoo. The trip was thanks to a generous donation from local builders merchant Dandy's Topsoil who provided the trip for all of the families supported by Plas Bellin. 

Families at Plas Bellin Hall enjoyed a Family Fun Day on the 28th August. It included pony rides, a fun bus, soccer darts, inflatable play area, raffle stall, face painting and exotic animals for the families to hold and learn about. One of the most popular attractions was June's 'I'm a Celebrity stall.'
