The Carers Centre received funding from the HOP fund which aims to engage older people, who maybe feeling isolated, in arts and culture. This allowed them to purchase materials and run arts & crafts sessions with carers such as felt making, mosaic making, collage and planning & drawing design.
The project allowed carers to reflect on their memories of their loved ones. They also visited the Liverpool Museum and used this to create artwork based on the city they live in.
The carers involved have done really well and thoroughly enjoyed the mosaic and felt making. The Carers Centre will continue to use the resources and will carry on with the project focusing on mosaic making, felt making and drawing and painting in greater detail. If you are visiting the museum over the coming weeks make sure you take a look!
