Local Solutions has achieved a RoSPA Gold Medal in recognition of achieving ‘Gold’ in the RoSPA Health and Safety awards for five consecutive years. The RoSPA Awards scheme, which receives entries from organisations around the world, recognises achievement in health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of qualifications, awards and events, said:
“The RoSPA Awards scheme is the longest-running of its kind in the UK, but it receives entries from organisations around the world, making it one of the most sought-after global accolades in health and safety. RoSPA wants every employee, wherever they are, to work safe in the knowledge that they will be going home unharmed and healthy at the end of every day.”
Local Solutions’ Health and Safety and Estates team support staff working across 16 sites and staff working in the community - through our social care and homelessness services.
Over the last few months they have supported teams across the organisation to continue to deliver services safely, through the Covid-19 crisis, whether that has been face-to-face or remotely.
“I was delighted to hear the news that we had achieved this award – it’s testament to the hard work and commitment of staff across the organisation. We support so many people through our work, in a huge array of different situations and locations and it’s vital that we do that in the safest way possible.”
Ursula Harrison, Health and Safety Officer, Local Solutions
A huge congratulations to everyone involved!
