Open Water Swimming Taster Session, for anyone suffering from a long-term health condition

After carrying out research in 2017, Swim England commissioned an independent study looking into the impact of swimming on physical, mental and social wellbeing; collating their results into the Health and Wellbeing Benefits of Swimming report. The report states that the unique properties of water make swimming a great choice of exercise for people of all ages, especially focusing on those with injuries long-term health conditions. The ease of exercising in water makes it perfect for those who find it difficult to exercise on land, which is why the Liverpool Watersports Centre think it is vital to offer activities for all abilities.

Swim England has also found that open swimming has added benefits to swimming in a pool due to the change in temperature, including better body circulation and a boosted immune system. To see their full list of benefits, visit their website here
