Resettlement Passport receives Lottery boost

We're delighted to announce that the Resettlement Passport has been awarded an 'Awards for All' grant from the Big Lottery to support the development of the initiative.  Our Resettlement Passport is an online tenancy skills course which developed out of our work with homeless young people, and is now being used by organisations nationally.  It gives people skills and confidence to prepare for and manage their own tenancy.

The grant will fund a part-time development worker for six months who will deliver training and promote the course with other organisations.  There are now 33 organisations using Resettlement Passport including Housing Associations, Leaving Care Teams, Local Authorities and organisations supporting people who are homeless, leaving prison, armed forces veterans and people with drug and alcohol issues.

We're really excited about this grant - it means we'll be able to get out to more organisations to tell them about this resource and ultimately help more people sustain their tenancies. 87% of people doing the course tell us it has improved their confidence so we now want to grow it to get it out to more people.

Hannah McCowen, Resettlement Passport Co-ordinator.
