Employee of the Year Nominations Open

 

Nominations are now open for Local Solution's annual awards.  We are looking for nominations for the David Shone Memorial Award, Employee of the Year, Team of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and Unsung Hero.  Nominations can be made by anyone, whether you are staff member, volunteer, service user, stakeholders.  Winners will be announced on the 21st December at the Employee of the Year event.  

Nominations can be made via this Online Survey or paper copies of the nomination form are available at our reception desks at Mount Vernon Green, Homeground or can be downloaded Here.  More information about the award categories is below:

1. David Shone Memorial Award

An award for a young person who has had a significant contribution / achievement / progression. This category is open to: Service Users, Employees and Volunteers

2. Employee of the Year Award
This is the award for an individual employee who has demonstrated excellence during the year.  Reasons for nominating an employee may include someone who has:

  • Made an a remarkable impact in improving the quality of life for service users
  • Enabled service user or users to increase participation and independence
  • Performed outstandingly during the course of the year
  • Gone above and beyond their job role
  • Provided inspiration or leadership

3. Team of the Year Award
This is the award for the team that has demonstrated excellence during the year. (Please note that this can be a sub-team or a whole departmental area).  Reasons for nominating a team may include one that has:

  • Made an a remarkable impact in improving the quality of life for service users
  • Increased participation and independence of their service user/s
  • Performed outstandingly during the course of the year
  • Demonstrated innovation and creativity
  • Gone beyond the expectations of their responsibility
  • Inspired people to perform and sets an example to follow
  • Delivered exceptional results

4. Volunteer of the Year Award
This is the award for a volunteer who has made an outstanding contribution to our services.  Reasons for nominating a volunteer may include someone who has:

  • Made a significant impact in improving the quality of life for service users
  • Made an impact in supporting a project or service
  • Increased participation and independence of service user/s
  • Performed outstandingly during the course of the year
  • Gone above and beyond
  • Provided inspiration to others

5. Unsung Hero Award
The Unsung Hero Award is for an employee that makes a consistent valuable contribution to a team or a service.  Reasons for nominating an employee may include someone who has:

  • Carried out their duties with conscientiousness and diligence
  • Demonstrated consistent performance
  • Been reliable, helpful and supportive to others
  • Been a consistently positive and encouraging member of a team
  • Implemented new approaches that have supported fellow employees and service/s
  • Made life better for colleagues

The closing date for nominations is 2nd November 2018.
