5 Students Excel at Work Experience

Callum and Ibrahim have come from Studio at Deyes where they are currently studying BTEC Business and Accounting at A Level. Every Wednesday, over a period of five weeks Callum has joined our Data Operations and Ibrahim our Training team to discover what they can gain from working in this particular industry. Callum’s role has been working with payroll whilst Ibrahim has been entering training information into our system and finding out the types of training aspects we deliver. Callum and Ibrahim both intend to get an apprenticeship in accountancy and believe that they have learnt a lot throughout their work experience so far as they have gained knowledge of what it is like to work in an office practicing accountancy and training.

Sam is doing a week long placement with us from Cronton College. He is studying Psychology, Sociology, I.T and Business. Throughout the week he has been working alongside Clare in our HR team to gain experience ashe plans to go into that area of work. When asked what his opinions were of working in the industry he said that he had gained a good experience of working in the office and that he had found out more information from fellow employees. After completing his A Levels, Sam would like to begin an apprenticeship inH.R.

Chloe Coulthard and Chloe Putterill have joined us from Enterprise South Liverpool Academy this week and are studying Psychology, Health & Social Care and Sociology. Chloe C has been working with the Communications Team were she is mainly focusing on marketing and helping to develop the Local Solutions website whereas Chloe P has been working with the Therapeutic Mentoring Team. She has had the opportunity to visit our local Homeground Hostel and interacting with many vulnerable people. They are both really enjoying their placements with us as it links into the careers that they want to do. Chloe C has told us that she would like to do a Digital Marketing apprenticeship with BT after her A Levels whilst Chloe P would like to do a Degree Apprenticeship within Mental Health.

A Householder, Lisa, and Young person, Leaninna, from Wirral Supported Lodgings were featured on BBC Radio Merseyside and spoke about their experiences with the project.  Lisa spoke about what it is like to be a Householder as the program advertised the need for Householders in our projects across Merseyside and North Wales.
