Crown Pub raises £703.50 for Bullybusters!

The pub, which is situated on Lime Street, organised a battle of the bands event and kindly donated the proceeds to help our anti-bullying initiative.  All together they raised an incredible £703.50.  The money will be used to buy prizes for a competition which will be run in schools across Liverpool, Sefton and Knowsley to help raise awareness of the effects of bullying.  The theme of the competition is “All different All equal” and will run during Anti-Bullying week which takes place in November.  Schools will be asked to devise a music jingle with the Bullybusters helpline number on which will then be used by the service.

A member of the Bullybusters team said,

“We cannot thank the Crown Pub enough for this event. It is fabulous to get our service promoted and talked about within the city.  We attend all local schools to talk to young people about the issue of bullying, what is bullying, what they can do and how they can help someone. For young people this can be quite a difficult subject so we feel it is important to raise their awareness and get young people the support they do need and deserve.  Thank you again for supporting us!!!”

A huge thank you to Neil and the team at the Crown Pub!
