Your fundraising can really help to make a difference to the lives of the people our services support. There are a number of ways you can get involved.
Get Sponsored
Sponsored events are a great way to do something different and raise money at the same time. It could be a sponsored walk, a run or a fun day – whatever you feel comfortable doing. You don’t even have to organise it yourself as there are plenty going on that you could take part in, take a look at some useful websites:

Run an event
This could be anything from organising a coffee morning to a bingo night. Whatever you decide to do, we can help by providing advice and support. Here’s some ideas to get you started:
- A cake sale is a fun way to raise money and it’s easy to organise too. You can get friends, family, neighbours or colleagues involved
- Been thinking of having a clear out for a while? Why not organise a clothes swap so you can get rid of them bags of clothes, get yourself a new wardrobe AND raise money for a good cause.
Sponsor a room / a worker
We’re looking for individuals and businesses who will sponsor a room, in one of our hostels or a support worker. Take a look at the options here.
Payroll Giving
Make a donation to a Local Solutions project directly out of your salary each month. This is the most tax efficient way to give, as the donation is taken before tax.
A £1 donation will cost basic rate tax payers 80p and higher rate tax payers 60p.
Your employer needs to be set up with a payroll giving scheme so speak to your payroll department to find out how to donate. Contact us for more information.
