Target Hardening Service
A house that has recently been burgled will be a soft target for
further break-ins; those who have suffered a recent burglary are
often left feeling vulnerable and afraid of repeat
victimisation.
Our ‘target hardening’ service aims to prevent further
burglaries and assist recent victims to feel safe and secure within
their own homes.
The project was set up in 1988 under the Environmental Task Force
option of the New Deal in Partnership with Liverpool City Council,
the Parks Partnership Board and Transco (British Gas Foundation).
Local Solutions can assist people who have recently
been burgled by providing advice as well as practical measures.
Someone from the project will visit the property inspect the damage
and give sound advice on making the property more secure in the
future. Workers will then install security measures to doors
and windows as required.
