Care Training Unit
What does the CTU do?
Our accredited Care Training Centre, based at Mount Vernon Green,
delivers comprehensive training packages. The centre currently has
over 600 students passing through its doors and can offer learners
and organisations a wide range of specialised training.
Established primarily as a vehicle for addressing the challenging
training needs of Homecare staff, the Care Training Unit is unique
in that it is the only in-house care training provider amongst
other agencies in Merseyside with block contracts to deliver Care.

 As well as providing training to learners within Local Solutions
and our Homecare staff, the Care Training Unit offers training
solutions to external care agencies across the region. Staff from
organisations such as Natural Breaks, North West Community
Services, Crossroads in Liverpool and Castlerock Care Services in
St Helens have all benefited from our expertise and have ongoing
contracts to deliver training.
