Supporting Carers of People with a Physical or Learning
Disability
Local Solutions’ Carers Project is providing a whole range of
support to carers who are looking after a friend, relative or child
who has a physical or learning disability. A dedicated worker

payments · The

Breaks ·

The worker will also signpost carers to other helpful agencies that
can assist them with their needs including:
· Training
to support them in their caring role ·
Accessibility issues · How to
access a disabled parking permit (blue badge)
Carers will receive access to our:
· Carers
Newsletter · Carers
Emergency Card Service · Welfare
Rights Service to help you obtain your full benefit entitlements
Referrals can be made via – social work teams, day centre
staff, community support staff or by contacting the Carers
Development worker, Francis Coles, directly on: 0151-705 2423. Once
