Hospital Information Points
Local Solutions Carers Project, in partnership with the Royal
Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospital Trust (RLBUHT) has
established Carers Information Points within the main reception
areas of the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University
Hospitals.
These Information Points are aimed at reaching the hundreds of
people passing through the hospital doors to visit a friend or a
relative; many of who are either carers themselves or indeed know
the person who is the carer.
The hospitals are ideal locations to enable us to reach such
individuals, who are referred to the information points where they
receive immediate support and advice.
Trained volunteers many of whom have caring experience operate the
information desks and provide carers and their dependants with
information on accessing support services – i.e. welfare
benefits agencies, respite care, Carers Emergency Card and
equipment suppliers. They are also provided with details
relating to discharge and follow up support through the Carers Home
from Hospital Support Service click here
for more information.
