Mobex Northwest
Outdoor Pursuits
Innovative training programmes that are challenging, educational and enjoyable
Mobex Northwest
provides training and development programmes utilising the
outdoors, arts and environmental education for young people from
disadvantaged areas. The project has a strong track record of
working with corporate groups, schools, and community and voluntary
organisations dealing with people affected by such issues as
substance misuse and homelessness.
Mobex Northwest is also a networking project, working with other
organisations already engaging with groups of young people. Mobex
hopes to support these organisations by providing additional
activities and experiences that help workers and young people build
constructive relationships.
Individual programmes offer new experiences and opportunities,
designed specifically for each individual client group to meet
their requirements. The training activities build
confidence, awareness and teamwork skills, with the long-term aim
of enabling clients to realise their own potential and to become
active participants in their own communities.
The project is flexible and mobile, travelling to any venue that
best suits the specific client group. Project staff identify the
aims and targets for their work in consultation with the groups who
are participating in their courses.
Mobex Northwest is a registered access organisation for the
Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme.
