Local Solutions, St. John's Centre and Liverpool One are working in partnership to support people with mobility restrictions through our Shopmobility Services. We are committed to ensuring that all amenities in Liverpool are easily accessible for everyone.

Shopmobility is providing freedom and independence to people who have  mobility restrictions through the loan of equipment, including manual and electric wheelchairs and electric powered scooters.

Service users are able to access amenities in Liverpool City Centre including their favourite shops, art galleries and museums. A trained volunteer can be provided to assist service users on their journey, subject to availability.  

 Where are we?

Liverpool Shopmobility is based in two key locations in the heart of Liverpool City Centre.

Liverpool One  - is situated on level 3 within the Strand Street Car Park.  Disabled bays are available.  For non car users, access can be gained from the car park entrance opposite the Hilton Hotel next to the steps.  

St John's Shopping Centre  - is situated on the first floor (opposite Wilkinson) in St. George's Way.  Access is via the car park lifts near The Perfume Shop on the lower mall.  Disabled bays are available in the car park and access to the shopping centre are available on Levels 1A, 2A and 3A.

Membership

Any person with a mobility restriction is welcome to become a member; you do not have to be registered disabled or even be a resident of Merseyside.

Members can hire mobility equipment for holidays and day excursions.  Shopmobility staff require 24 hours notice for booking purposes and equipment is subject to availability.
