Who Does MAP Help?

MAP helps young people aged 16 and 17 who have become homeless through no fault of their own.  Most of the young people referred to the project are homeless through circumstances beyond their control, some have had traumatic periods in their lives and may require extra understanding and support.  In such cases MAP undertakes to provide help and if necessary involve specialist agencies.  The teenagers come from a variety of backgrounds and it is important that householders have a non-judgmental attitude and hold no feelings of prejudice.

MAP believes that the young people don't just need a roof over their head, they need a home in which they can mature and develop.
