What We Do
Who Does Supported Lodgings Help?
SL helps young people aged between 16 and 25 who have become homeless through no fault of their own. Most of the young people referred to the project are homeless through circumstances beyond their control, some have had traumatic periods in their lives and may require extra understanding and support. In such cases SL undertakes to provide help and if necessary involve specialist agencies. The teenagers come from a variety of backgrounds and it is important that householders have a non-judgmental attitude and hold no feelings of prejudice.
SL believes that the young people don't just need a roof over their head, they need a home in which they can mature and develop.
The age limit of young people we work with varies slightly according to the district - please see below.
