Course Details:
This programme is suitable for anyone who is interested in working with children aged 4 –14 years old. The course covers the values underlying childcare, including classroom based training, portfolio building, assignments and practical placements.

The programme consists of seven units:

• Contribute to positive relationships with children and their parents/carers.
• Prepare for children’s play.
• Deal with Accidents and Emergencies
• Support the protection of children from abuse.
• Support the work of a team.
• Contribute to developing own and organisational practice.
• Contribute to children’s development through play.

Qualifications available: NVQ Level 2 City & Guilds
