Watersports Centre receives £49.50 in donations

A customer of our watersports centre has helped fundraise for our Wheelyboat campaign.

Katie Forman visited the centre with her mum, Wendy, to find out what activities are available for people with disabilities.  The team told her about a few things she could participate in but also mentioned the Wheelyboat which we hope to be able to offer soon.  Katie was very excited when she found out about the boat and asked if she could take a collection bucket so she could ask friends and family for donations to help with the fundraising.

All together she managed to raise an impressive £49.50 which is a massive help, taking our total amount so far to £20,428 (the final target is £32,000).

A Wheelyboat is specially designed to allow wheelchairs easy roll-on, roll-of access.  Users are able to participate in a range of activities and can undertake qualifications.  You can find out more at www.wheelyboats.org.  You can also donate to our Just Giving campaign at http://bit.ly/2nuUYjn.
