ULCC say fond farewell to Barbara
ULCC say fond farewell to BarbaraBarbara Hayes (centre) retired this month after nearly 13 years as cook for the University of Liverpool Childrens’ Centre. She began in the old prefabricated site moving to the new purpose built centre 11 years ago. She was loved by the children who consistently praised her cooking (especially her chicken Julienne) to parents over the years. This led to Barbara’s own cookbook this year.
Barbara was instrumental in the Nursery gaining 5 stars in their environmental assessment and received particular praise from the inspector. Heather Akehurst, Senior Corporate Services and Early Years Manager welcomed Barbara’s husband and two daughters to a small celebratory event at which she thanked Barbara for all her work and commitment and presented her with a small gift.
