Local Solutions recently held two very successful care recruitment events. First up was the event at our head office, at which over 120 enthusiastic candidates attended. Our Homecare staff and our National Careers Advisers were on hand to offer advice and guidance to the applicants. The most positive news was, that out of the 61 candidates who passed the application stage after an interview with our HR Team, 28 of them were given a conditional job offer pending DBS (CRB) highlighting the talent in the area. 

Next up, we took our show on the road to the Leasowe Millennium Centre, Wirral. This provided us with an opportunity to liaise with many partner agencies on the Wirral to help local people find employment. Again, our National Careers Advisers were on hand to offer advice and guidance to the applicants on completing application forms and hints and tips on interview techniques. 

Many of the candidates commented on how much they valued the support they received prior to applying for the job and also how much they welcomed the top tips from the staff regarding interview techniques. Over 40 people attended the event, 30 of whom passed application stage and were offered interviews and 14 people were offered jobs pending DBS. 

It was brilliant to see so many MP’s, organisations and individuals supporting us by raising awareness of the events through various social media channels through our hashtag #LSCareJobsEvent.
