Are you a carer? Do you have a few hours a month to spare?

Would you like to be involved in the forum?

Local Solutions in partnership with Liverpool City Council, is setting up a new city wide forum for carers in Liverpool. The aim of the forum is to ensure that consultation takes place with service providers and other carers about the development of services in Liverpool. It is important that you as carers are consulted about services, support, training and events that will address your needs.

The forum will meet together on a regular basis. It is hoped that members will represent the forum in various strategic groups and organisations, including Liverpool City Council, Primary Care Trusts, Hospital Trusts and Community Groups. The forum will also play an active role in organising events across the city. This will include an annual event that will be held during National Carers Week and Consultation Events with carers across the city that will be held on a regular basis. Members will attend the forum on a voluntary basis and out of pocket expenses will be paid for all meetings attended.

We are looking for a varied membership for the group e.g. Carers of people with mental health problems, physical / learning disabilities, older people etc. We would welcome enquiries from as many carers as possible. If you are interested in joining the group please contact Katherine French on 0151 705 2390.
