Annual Winter Survival Campaign Gets Underway

Keep Warm, the home insulation project within Local Solutions once again participated in the annual Winter Survival Campaign organised by Liverpool City Council. The Winter Survival event underway in St George's Hall

The Campaign this year began with an Information Fair at St George’s Hall with organisations such as Liverpool City Council, ScottishPower, Age Concern Liverpool, Help the Aged, C.A.B, British Gas, the Pension Service and the N.H.S. in attendance.

The day was a fantastic success with over 400 people attending and there was plenty of interesting displays and presentations taking place including a Tai Chi demonstration and a play performed by children from All Saints and Sutton Manor Primary Schools. Also during the event there was a free raffle – first prize being an energy efficient fridge donated by the Keep Warm Project.

There will be a number of free events running over the next few months to help people by offering advice on keeping warm and energy efficiency measures and also a range of information regarding access to grants and benefits. The events will be held from 10.00am - 3.00pm at the following places:
