Two young people who are supported through Local Solutions' Intense Mentoring Service attended a consultation event held in St.George’s House in Windsor Castle on the 5th and 6th of September.
The event was co-organised by Local Solutions and the Comino Foundation, who invest in the Intense Mentor Service. The purpose of the consultation was to bring together people with an interest in developing practice for supporting people with complex and multiple needs and the event was attended by Chief Executives, Chairs and Executives from charities, charitable trusts as well as central and local government.
Local Solutions kicked off the event by outlining its work through the Intense Mentor Service with the discussions being led by Sue Shelley, Project Coordinator, David Ellis, Senior Manager for Strategy and the two young people who outlined their experiences of the service.
Both Sean and Badda have made significant personal progress with support from their workers Sue Shelley and Gemma Moores and their confident and insightful contribution to the event was appreciated by all those in attendance.
