Carers learn about their city

Carers learn about their city

Unpaid carers have enjoyed a trip to the Museum of Liverpool, Pier Head.

Carers from Liverpool Carers Centre took a guided tour of the museum by Kenn Taylor (Communities Worker).

Kenn attended the Carers Centre two weeks ago for an outreach session where he did a small presentation of the Museum of Liverpool and brought some of the artefacts for carers to handle.

The outreach session also gave carers a chance to bring in some of their items for Kenn to look at and provide information and guidance on.

The Museum Tour was greatly received by carers who enjoyed interacting with the exhibitions many of which brought back memories of years gone by in their city as well as learning things they didn't know about Liverpool.

Some of the carers comments are below:

“This was a great experience and the guide was brilliant.”

“Having someone explain the exhibitions and being able to ask questions is ideal.”

“I will definitely be visiting again; there is so much to see.”
