Bookstart visit children's centre

Julie Davies of the Bookstart service visited the University of Liverpool Children’s Centre today to illustrate to the children how fun and interactive reading books can be.

In Liverpool, Bookstart is coordinated by the Library Service in partnership with Booktrust, Health Visitors, Early Years Practitioners and Outreach Partners. Its aim is to help families discover the fun and excitement of sharing books together.

The session began with an array of popular nursery rhymes followed by the reading of several books - to which all the children were transfixed.
