The University of Liverpool Children’s Centre was treated to a visit from Merseyside Police on August 19th and to the delight of the children, the nursery staff was temporarily arrested!
Merseyside Police were invited along to meet children attending the summer play scheme in order to give them some important advice such as road safety awareness. Other guests who have attended during the summer included representatives from the RSPCA, Guide Dogs for the Blind, St Johns Ambulance, Bullybusters and the Healthy Eating Project.
Children at the playscheme (who are aged 4-11) were thrilled to get the chance to sit in
police vehicles, shout messages through the tannoy and to also sound police sirens whilst watching staff being breathalysed - the results of which were of course negative!
