A Superlambanana party
was held at the University of Liverpool Children’s Centre on Thursday, 17th July, 2008 to celebrate European Capital of Culture.
Children at the centre have been participating in a Superlambanana hunt for the past few weeks, each day tracking down a local statue and taking its photograph. Over 100 of the Liverpool icons have been placed throughout the city as part of the ‘Go Superlambananas’ public art event which runs from 16th June to 25th August, 2008.
Managed b
y Local Solutions, the centre serves to meet the needs of staff and also students who are undertaking academic studies at the University, with a small number of placements available for external clients.
Dress code for the party was yellow and children brought their own handmade Superlambanana’s along. The fun commenced with games including Superlambanana poses, followed by yellow-themed party food.
