Michael and Sue in London.Service user Michael and two representatives of Local Solutions attended the Houses of Parliament on Tuesday 2nd March for the launch of a new campaign aimed at highlighting how the Third Sector in the North West can transform people’s lives.

Michael accesses the organisation’s Intense Support Mentoring programme. The programme works with young homeless people who are identified as the ‘hardest to engage’ and are experiencing profound exclusion.  He was accompanied by the Mentor of the programme, Sue Shelley and Senior Manager Debbie Cooke.

Michael has been heavily involved in the new ‘Listen Value Invest’ campaign by telling his story on YouTube and being promoted on flyers. Michael comments, “If it wasn’t for Local Solutions I’d still be on the streets, drinking, getting attacked or being constantly moved on by police. Now I’ve got my own flat and I’m getting back on the straight and narrow.”
