Nugent Care CEO tours Shopmobility

Liverpool Shopmobility welcomed a visit from Kathy Pitt, Chief Executive Officer of Nugent Care on 19th May 2009.

Nugent Care, which was established in the 1850s, is one of the oldest, largest and most diverse charities in the North West.  They provide an extensive range of services for vulnerable people of all ages, including specialist education for children, residential care for children, older people and individuals with mental and physical disabilities, adoption services, support for homeless people and much more.

Local Solutions has excellent links with Nugent care and was delighted to give Kathy a guided tour of its Shopmobility unit based in the new Liverpool One Complex.  Here Kathy met with staff, where she learnt more about the work of Shopmobility, which is promoting independence for people with mobility restrictions through the hire of equipment, information and advice.
