Green Kids Raising Funds for Nurseries

Children attending Local Solutions' nurseries are learning the importance of recycling through a scheme called Skyecycle.

The recycling scheme works by providing the children’s centre with a recycling pack for each child (and their families) that is to be filled with unwanted items such as clothing, footwear and household textiles.

The nurseries then receive a fee per kilo of donated materials which is spent on much-needed equipment. Skyecycle promotes care for the environment whilst raising funds for the participating organisation.

It also encourages members of the wider community to get involved and means there is less landfill waste from that area.
