Local Solutions Welcomes High Sheriff

On 10^th March, Local Solutions welcomed a visit from the High Sheriff for Merseyside, Mrs Judith Greensmith. 

Mrs Greensmith, who is also the chairwoman of the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust, was given a tour of the Liverpool Carer’s Centre at Local Solutions’ Headquarters where she met with service users and staff.

The tour also included a visit to the centre’s new gymnasium - which has proved to be very popular with unpaid carers. Observing a Tai Chi class that was taking place, Mrs Greensmith was invited to take part, which she did so enthusiastically and informed the class that she had “enjoyed it immensely”.

Liverpool Carers Centre is viewed as somewhat of a sanctuary by unpaid carers who regularly use it as a respite from the daily responsibilities of their caring roles.
