Trustee Visit

Anthony Hannay, a Trustee of the Lord Leverhulme Charitable Trust, visitedAnthony Hannay (far right) at Homeground with staff and a resident (centre). Local Solutions on 30th January 2009.

The Trust has been a generous supporter of the organisation’s work in helping to maintain it's services for vulnerable people.

During the visit, Mr Hannay took a tour of Local Solutions starting with Homeground where he explored the hostel which provides accommodation for young homeless people.

He then moved on to Shopmobility in Liverpool One where he got to see the new site which hires out mobility equipment to people with disabilities.

Merseysport was next where Mr Hannay was given a tour of the facility which offers experiences in watersports to the whole community and in particular disadvantaged people who would not otherwise be able to take part in such sports.

The trip was rounded off by viewing the University of Liverpool’s Children Centre in the city centre which is a nursery run by Local Solutions for the children of staff and students at the University.
