Winter Survival Packs Distributed  

Staff from Local Solutions have been out and about all week distributing Winter Survival Packs to older people in Liverpool as part of its Winter Survival campaign.

For several years the organisation has run this successful campaign to support their older and vulnerable service users during the cold winter months.

Service users were delighted to receive the packs which included several useful items such as blankets, flasks, warm clothing, soups and draught excluders.

Fran Coles of the Carers project presented a pack to one of her service users (aged 90) and commented; “I think the Winter Survival Packs are an excellent idea and it’s great to be able to help older people in a practical and useful way. It’s lovely for Carers to be on the receiving end of having something nice.”
