Volunteers Enjoy Christmas Lunch

On Wednesday 3rd December, volunteers for Local Solutions enjoyed a Christmas lunch to mark the week’s International Volunteer Day.

Nick McAllister, Anne Halliday and Paula Talbot all volunteer at Shopmobility in Liverpool One. They were joined by the Local Solutions Chairman, Rob Owen and Chief Executive, Steve Hawkins plus other members of the management team to savour a festive meal provided by the Northern Conference Centre.

Paula has been a volunteer at Shopmobility for five years and commented: “I couldn’t ever see myself not doing it – I enjoy it too much. I get to meet lots of people and I like being there.”

Rob Owen thanked the volunteers for their hard work, which he said was fundamental to the success of Shopmobility and the informative and friendly service that is provided to its users.
