Two Services Accredited to Matrix Standard 

Following a recent inspection, Local Solutions is delighted to have been accredited to the matrix Standard which is a nationally recognised quality assurance mark. 

This was achieved within the organisation’s Training and Welfare Rights departments. It gives acknowledgment for the excellent advice and guidance provided by both services.

A range of methods were used to gather evidence against the matrix Standard - these included a range of interviews with staff and service users. During the assessment five strengths were identified.

Areas of good practice acknowledged by the assessor included: 

• a staff culture that lived and breathed the company values
• strong relationships with partners
• candidate focus groups
• a number of well documented and deployed systematic processes
• a range of stakeholder focus groups linked into the management process

Quality Assurance Manager, Sandra Keatley said: “ This is a fantastic achievement for the departments involved and highlights the great services that we strive to deliver and the dedication of the staff at Local Solutions.” 

The Quality Assurance Team was invited to host a workshop on Good Practice in the Third Sector at the regional Skills for Care Annual Conference in late November of this year.
