The Northern Conference Centre (NCC) held its annual Macmillan “World’s Biggest Coffee Morning” today and for the first time, Local Solutions Homeground site at Scotland Road, also ran the event.

An array of cakes, biscuits and chocolates along with warm drinks were on offer to visitors and staff and a total of £216.69 was raised at Head Quarters while £124.24 was counted at Homeground - this was almost double the amount given last year.

The event is aimed at supporting people who live with cancer and primarily to improve their quality of life. Organisers from NCC and Homeground thanked everyone for getting involved and showing their support to such a worthwhile cause.
