Paralympian launches Shopmobility in Liverpool ONE
June 26th saw the official opening of Shopmobility by Paralympian,
Ade Orogbemi. Guests, service users and staff gathered to celebrate
the launch in new surroundings right in the heart of the Liverpool
One development.
Ade, who is representing Great Britain in this year’s
Paralympics in Beijing, said: “It is an honour and a
privilege to launch the new Shopmobility store.”
Deputy Lord Mayor, Mike Storey, who also attended the ceremony,
commented on the wonderful new premises and how great it was that
people with disabilities would not have to miss out on experiencing
all the new leisure and retail opportunities now on offer in the
city. Other distinguished guests included Liverpool city council
leader, Warren Bradley and charity fundraiser, Michelle Lewis.

Stephen Hawkins were delighted to welcome key representatives
involved in the development, along with partners, staff and
volunteers.
Shopmobility offers wheelchairs, power chairs and power scooters
for hire and also has a selection of disability aids and
adaptations for purchase. Equipment is available to everyone who
has a mobility restriction due to age, disability or injury.
Shopmobility is located on level 3 (ground floor) of the Strand
