Short Story Competition Benefits Local Solutions

Local Solutions is pleased to have been chosen to benefit from the proceeds of a S hort Story Competition launched on 4th June by law firm Mace & Jones. Martin Edwards, the firm's Head of Employment Law (right of picture)and himself a celebrated crime fiction author, said that Mace & Jones is aiming to make the competition a meaningful contribution to Liverpool’s Capital of Culture Celebrations. 

Entrants are asked to submit stories on the theme of ‘Justice’ - up to a maximum of 3,000 words. The competition is open to individuals of any age and background, whether established authors or beginners.  The deadline for entries is 31st August 2008.  

An entry fee of £10 is being charged, the proceeds of which will be donated to benefit services managed by Local Solutions.  

Four prizes will be awarded by the judging panel as follows:

• First Prize   -  £500
• Second Prize  -  £250
• Third Prize   -  £150
• Fourth Prize  -  £100
