Shopmobility Successful Pathways Bid to Train Volunteers

Liverpool Shopmobility has been awarded £1,800 of European funds by the Local Neighbourhood Funding Panel to train unemployed volunteers in Liverpool. The volunteers will be trained to support Shopmobility service users by accompanying them on journeys around Liverpool City Centre.

The new project is timed to coincide with the opening of the new Shopmobility facility in the Liverpool One development, which opens on 29^th May. By volunteering for the scheme, individuals will also gain useful new skills which will ultimately benefit them when applying for future employment.
