The Lord Lieutenant of Merseyside, Dame Lorna Muirhead was welcomed as the new president of Local Solutions at an official luncheon in December.

Representatives from a number of departments attended the event at the headquarters in Hall Lane, Liverpool, along with service users who spoke to Dame Lorna about their experience of the many varied and worthwhile projects across the organisation.

Chief Executive, Stephen Hawkins said, “I was delighted to be able to officially welcome Dame Lorna Muirhead to Local Solutions. We share a similar vision about highlighting the work of many unsung heroes in the field of health and social care across Merseyside and hope to demonstrate the positive steps we are taking to address this issue. On behalf of all the staff and service users at Local Solutions, I would like to wish Dame Lorna every success in her role as Lord Lieutenant of Merseyside, and look forward to working together.”
