Carers staff abseil hospital building

Congratulations to Hazel Brown and Janet Tynan from the Local Solutions Carers Project who completed a 200ft abseil from the Royal Liverpool Hospital roof on Saturday 7th October 2006.

Over £290 was raised for The Linda McCartney Centre, St Paul’s Eye Appeal and the Local Solutions Carers Centre, which is to be opened shortly.

Janet explained that she wanted to set herself new challenges and on the day said “ I was apprehensive about the abseil but afterwards I was really proud of myself and couldn’t believe that I had actually done it.”

It appears that Janet and Hazel have caught the adrenelin bug as they have both said “What’s next?” Watch this space for future  fundraising exploits.
