Homecare Liverpool received a ‘Good’ rating at their recent inspection. The inspection involved speaking to people who use the service and their relatives and staff members, as well as reviewing files, training records and how the service is managed.
The report highlights how people who received the service are involved with decisions around their care and enjoyed continuity of care. People commented ‘I have the same carers,” “Same staff so I feel safe with them,” “Very caring staff, cannot do enough for me.”
Other comments from Homecare service users reflect the quality of the care they are receiving:
“After having a stroke 12 months ago which resulted in falls, a carer calls three times a day, morning, noon and night and they are very helpful. As a result I feel much safer and have fewer falls.”
“I feel safe because the care co-ordinator is consistent and the carers call at the appropriate time in the morning and evening; this aids my ability to function throughout the day because my care plan needs are met.”
The report also highlighted the training and support available to Homecare’s Care Support Workers and office team, with staff reporting that they felt well supported in their roles through regular supervisions and training.
“We’re really pleased with this positive report, that is thanks to all the hard work of our Care Support Workers and office teams. It’s so good to hear positive comments from our service users, it’s our goal to make the service as good as it can be for those who need it.” Helen Richards, Head of Homecare
