Investors in People
Based on 26 years of leading practice, the Investors in People Standard is underpinned by a rigorous assessment methodology and a framework which reflects the very latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures required to outperform in any industry. Local Solutions has held Investors in People status since 1997 and was successfully re-assessed under the new standard in May and June 2016. Investors in People is the national standard for people management; it offers a rigorous assessment against the Investors in People Standard and provides a framework which reflects the very latest workplace trends to help organizations achieve high performance through people. It focuses on the themes of ‘Leading, Supporting and Improving’ to drive performance.
Developed, led and supported by employers, MINDFUL EMPLOYER® provides businesses and organisations with easier access to information and support for staff who experience stress, anxiety, depression or other mental health conditions.
Positive About Disabled People
The symbol is awarded by Jobcentre Plus to those employers who have demonstrated a commitment to recruiting disabled employees and developing their skills and prospects.
Local Solutions are accredited with the Cyber Essentials implementation profile [BIS/14/696]. This accreditation recognises we take security seriously across all IT systems.
Local Solutions is a member of RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) and holds a Gold award. RoSPA Gold Award winners have achieved a very high level of performance, demonstrating well developed occupational health and safety management systems and culture, outstanding control of risk and very low levels of error, harm and loss.
Workplace Wellbeing Charter
Local Solutions has been successfully re-accredited under The Workplace Wellbeing Charter in January 2017, having held the award since 2012. The Workplace Wellbeing Charter is a national award, assessed locally in Liverpool by Health@Work, whose standards reflect best practice and are endorsed nationally by Public Health England. The Charter takes a holistic approach that includes leadership, culture and communication, as well as health & wellbeing topics such as physical activity, alcohol and mental health.
Matrix quality standard for information advice and guidance services
Local solutions was successfully assessed against the Matrix Standard in June 2016, having previously held the accreditation since 2008. The Matrix Standard is the quality standard for information, advice and guidance services and the Matrix Standard Assessment Services has accredited Local Solutions' Adult Community Learning and Employability Services.
